July 5, 2002  at the Chateau des Conde

For some of us, it was the event of the year.  For others, it was a fun summer weekend, a happy family occasion, a meeting of old friends.  But no one considered it just another wedding.  How could we when, for two days, we were living like pre-revolution French nobility in the Chateau des Conde?  From the immense four-poster beds and swimming pool size bath tubs to the elaborately decorated Grand Gallerie and spectacular firework display, it truly was the definition of grandeur.  The marriage of Victoria and Jeremy Trimble is not something that we will soon forget.

From the time the guests started arriving on the evening of July 4, the Chateau was a flurry of activity.  Some people wandered the many staircases and levels of the main house searching for their room.  Others passed the time playing football on the lawn, exploring the grounds of the old castle, even venturing into the chilly waters of the just-filled swimming pool.
