All too quickly, four-thirty arrived and it was time to go down to the church. Of course, a light rain began to fall minutes before the horse and carriage arrived to take the bride and her father to the ceremony. The start of the service was delayed slightly, but it eventually got underway and everything went beautifully.

Before we knew it, the night had passed and the big day had finally arrived. The level of anticipation increased as the caterers arrived, the flowers were put into place, and the last minute details were finalized. Victoria sat by the window for what seemed like hours while women fussed over her hair and make-up. The bridemaids were frantically attempting to steam the travel-induced wrinkles out of all the dresses, while the groomsmen were trying to figure out how to tie those strange silk cravats
